February and apart from 2 inches of snow and a wind to take the breath out of you, all is good on Loch Ness. We are all engaged on the big pre-season tidy and although everyone is swaddled in layers of wind proof clothing we manage to get outdoors almost every day.
I say we but I mean Don and Hamish as I am rarely home, being up to my ears in Highland politics. You would think I would get a healthier hobby! We had Christmas in New Zealand and that set us up with more ideas and fresh energy. Expect more grasses, more agapanthus and let us hope for more Scottish summer sun this year.
Loch Ness becomes a better place to visit each year. More walking and cycling tracks, more excellent restaurants and tea shops, and of course, great gardens.
I hope you can visit us this year. We will have events and displays, details to follow.
